About the Role

As Director of Program Management, you will lead Airspan’s dynamic and highly experienced Program Management team, working to develop our portfolio of radio base stations that support multiple radio access technologies, including 5G, 4G/LTE, and GSM.

Airspan’s hardware portfolio is built for scalability and reliability, with over 50,000 5G radios and 700,000 4G radios deployed in live networks worldwide. Our solutions meet the demands of public and private networks with unmatched efficiency and performance, spanning dense urban deployments and expansive industrial applications. With proven success in Open RAN interoperability and conformance testing, Airspan continues to innovate and deliver cutting-edge wireless solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direction to team of existing program and project managers, ensuring coordination and smooth interactions within team, with other Airspan stakeholders, and with external agencies that fund development projects (including US Government and other external customers).
  • Work closely with Airspan finance and other teams to maintain accurate view of effort and spending on the various programs.
  • Monitor status of all radio development programs, including schedule, budget, scope, etc.
  • Guide development projects through the Airspan Gate process.
  • Work closely with RF Development Director to assess tradeoffs during development to minimize impacts on project cost, product cost, product quality, and schedule.
  • Work closely with Operations and NPI teams to ensure model builds go smoothly and on schedule.
  • Provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Airspan executive team to manage interactions with US Government to maintain existing and potential future grants.
  • Lead planning activities for future US Government grant applications.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
  • Experience in new product development.
  • Expertise with MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, & MS Powerpoint.
  • Experience interacting with US Government funding bodies administering grants .
  • Experience with RF products is a plus.
  • Understanding of applicable wireless technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G-NR) and industry standards (e.g., 3GPP) is a plus.
