Join Our Team as a General Laborer! Location: 9000 Trinity Blvd, Hurst, TX 76053
Hours: Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 5 PM
Rate of Pay: $17 per hour
Job Summary: SCA is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a General Laborer. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support our daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities as a General Laborer: - You must be comfortable with completing work in oncoming traffic. You will have protection by TMA vehicles.
- Duties to include driving a pickup truck, physically picking up debris (to include but not limited to litter, debris, furniture, tires, etc.), and placing in caged bed of truck.
- Clean various highway locations in and surrounding metroplex assigned daily.
- Required to make numerous stops and exiting truck to remove debris/trash from highway shoulders and adjacent edges of highway shoulders.
- Wear proper and required PPE
- Complete assigned job(s) in the time allotted and maintain quality of work
- Report any equipment failures, near misses or accidents to Lead or Supervisor within 15 Minutes
- Perform labor duties as required by team lead/Supervisor
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Skills: - Valid Driver's License
- Good Driving Record
- Ability to pass employment and random drug test
- Ability to follow directions, work a GPS and tablet, and be able to adjust to the work environment
- Proper work attire (pants, shirt with short sleeve at a minimum), above the ankle work boots, and required PPE
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience closely related to the field of work.
- Requires work performed in outdoor environments/Exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions.
- Exposure to noise, vibrations, jarring, fumes grease oil & chemicals.
- Active, physical work involving occasionally; lifting (50+ lbs), carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching. Frequently, walking, standing, driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time.
- Requires focus adjustment, depth perception, clear close & distant vision. Use of ear, eye, and other safety equipment.
- Requires regular use of hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Requires regular use of eyes, shoulders & neck to monitor vehicle mirrors
