About the Role

Day to day, as an Information and Records Management Consultant at Access Sciences, you will dive into the thrilling world of data management by assessing and enhancing client Information Governance (IG) policies against industry standards. Your analytical skills will be essential as you evaluate taxonomies, retention schedules, and metadata models, ensuring they meet comprehensive usability and industry best practices. You will play a pivotal role in classifying content, identifying metadata requirements for lifecycle management, and contributing to the development of operational processes. Collaborating closely with clients, you will lead data-gathering sessions, document key insights, and craft tailored recommendations that drive improvements. Your ability to understand and articulate client values will influence project approaches, while your creativity will shine through in training materials and case studies. Responsibilities

  • Assess and enhance client Information Governance (IG) policies against industry standards.
  • Evaluate taxonomies, retention schedules, and metadata models.
  • Classify content and identify metadata requirements for lifecycle management.
  • Contribute to the development of operational processes.
  • Lead data-gathering sessions and document key insights.
  • Craft tailored recommendations that drive improvements.
  • Understand and articulate client values to influence project approaches.
  • Create training materials and case studies.
  • Identify opportunities to add value within existing accounts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Four years of experience in information governance, records management, and change management within a consulting environment; knowledge of the oil and gas industry is preferred.
  • IG professional who remains abreast of emerging regulations, industry trends, best practices, methodologies, and key research and findings impacting IG.
  • Knowledge of a variety of ECM tools/platforms.
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office product suite.
  • Experience applying records and information management principles and the information lifecycle.
  • Able to work independently and prioritize multiple complex tasks to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent active listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, demonstrate critical thinking, and work effectively in fluid environments.
  • Able to accommodate personality and working style differences and actively work to prevent conflicts.
  • Ability to lift 30lb boxes.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of M-Files Document Management System.
  • Oil & Gas industry knowledge.
  • Certificate or Certification in Information Governance, Records Management, or a related field.
