**Job Summary**
The Manager, Urgent Care is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing financial and personnel activities, and ensuring high-quality patient care within the urgent care setting. This role leads process improvement initiatives, staff training, and resource management to achieve operational efficiency, clinical excellence, and patient satisfaction. The Manager serves as the primary administrative interface between facility departments and urgent care clinic staff.
**Essential Functions**
+ Manages daily clinic operations, including staffing, patient flow, scheduling, and operational efficiency to ensure high-quality care and a positive patient experience.
+ Provides leadership and direction to clinical and administrative staff, fostering collaboration and accountability to meet clinic goals.
+ Develops, implements, and monitors process improvement initiatives to optimize operations and enhance patient satisfaction.
+ Handles inquiries, resolves patient concerns, and uses quality improvement data to address operational challenges.
+ Oversees staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations to ensure clinical and non-clinical roles are aligned with organizational standards.
+ Collaborates with leadership on patient care initiatives, physician billing processes, and operational improvements to achieve clinic objectives.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications**
+ Associate Degree in Business Management, Public Health or related field preferred or
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Healthcare, Public Health or related field preferred
+ 4-6 years of experience in clinic or healthcare management required
+ 2-4 years of experience in an urgent care or similar setting required
+ 1-2 years of leadership or management experience preferred
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
+ Knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, and HIPAA compliance.
+ Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and reporting tools.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with staff, physicians, and leadership.
+ Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements to achieve clinic goals.
+ Competence with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare-related software.
+ Commitment to patient-centered care and fostering a positive work environment.
**Licenses and Certifications**
+ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA preferred or
+ LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure preferred or
+ RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure preferred
