Job Description

  V-Tech Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Mental Health Technician to support

our client’s Behavioral Health Department. The ideal candidate will perform direct patient 
care tasks under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. This includes 
performing non-invasive procedures and completing various tasks as outlined in 
competency documentation. The Mental Health Technician will provide direct patient care 
while also supporting the department by maintaining facilities and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Provide non-invasive procedures and assist with patient care in the Behavioral 
  Health Department. 
• Support the department by maintaining facilities and managing supplies.
• .Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with other service-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications: 

• 1–2 years of experience in Behavioral or Mental health settings
• CPR and First Aid Certified
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• College degree in Behavior Science or one year of Psychiatric Technician experience 
  in an inpatient acute psychiatric hospital preferred.

Skills:

• Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with superiors, peers, and 
  customers.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Fundamental computer skills and keyboard familiarity.
