CACI is looking for a software developer to provide NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) with software skills in the design, development, and testing of NASA’s Lunar Gateway Data Production Environment, including the Gateway Data Model and Gateway Data Services. Lunar Gateway, a vital component of NASA’s Artemis Program, will serve as a multi-purpose outpost orbiting the Moon that provides essential support for long-term human return to the lunar surface, and serves as a staging point and technology incubator for deep space exploration. This software engineering position involves the development of web and database applications for generating flight software data products to configure the data-driven Gateway flight software. The position also includes working with a team of developers, interacting with users, developing, and prioritizing new features based on customer needs, customer service, managing schedule, and supporting presentations and demonstrations. This position requires a self-motivated, capable person with strong verbal and written communication skills. In addition to outstanding technical expertise, the individual must be very people savvy, have strong customer relationship skills, possess a positive team-player attitude, be flexible and willing to take on new assignments and responsibilities as they arise, and be an articulate speaker able to communicate complex technical ideas in a convincing manner. The individual must share our passion for our Nation's Space Program and share in the excitement of developing the next human-rated space vehicles. This work takes place at NASA/JSC in Houston, TX, a highly stimulating and dynamic environment that is critical in human space flight and the space exploration initiative. Responsibilities include developing Gateway Data Model and Gateway Data Services web and database applications and APIs, developing new software features based on customer needs, performing testing to ensure requirements are being met, troubleshooting Gateway Data Services discrepancies, and adhering to JSC standard software process practices. Qualifications required include U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency, a B.S. in relevant engineering or computer science disciplines, 1-3 years of full stack development experience, experience with web applications and services, C#, XML, SQL, strong communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision. Desired qualifications include M.S. degree, experience with Entity Framework Core, .NET Core, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, SAML, OAuth, Continuous Integration, software tool requirements, GitLab, Jira, and experience in human-rated flight projects full life cycle.
