Job Title: QC Inspector (Quality Control Inspector)
Job Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting products and materials to ensure that they meet the required quality standards and specifications. The role involves performing tests, measurements, and visual inspections to detect defects or deviations from quality norms. The QC Inspector will work closely with the production team to ensure that products meet the company’s quality expectations and comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Testing:
Conduct visual, mechanical, and functional inspections on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
Perform tests using a variety of measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to ensure product specifications are met.
Document inspection results, including measurements, findings, and any non-conformances.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports for management review.
Non- Conformance Detection:
Identify and report any non- conformances , irregularities, or deviations from established standards.
Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with quality standards, company policies, and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and corrections.
Assist in preparing and reviewing documentation for certifications and audits.
Process Improvement:
Recommend process improvements based on inspection findings.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the production and engineering teams to improve product quality and resolve any quality-related issues.
Collaborate with other departments (e. g., logistics , procurement) to ensure quality standards are met across the supply chain.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in quality control or a related field ( e. g.Six Sigma) is a plus.
Experience: 3 years previous experience in a QC or manufacturing role is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and measurement tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Familiarity with industry standards
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
